# Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and you don't need a credit card.

Sign up at [helpcenter.io/app/signup](https://helpcenter.io/app/signup), choose your subdomain, and your help center is ready. The trial includes the features of the plan you pick when you sign up, or of Growth if you don't pick one.

During the trial your help center can be private or password protected. To make it public, activate a plan in **Billing & Invoices**. Activating early doesn't cut your trial short: you're charged when the trial ends. If you don't activate, your help center goes offline when the trial ends, but your content is kept.
